<SOLVED> Multiple ACPI errors on boot

Post by Simoleonas »

Upon boot LM briefly spits out the following errors:

Code: Select all

[ 1.868237] ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Could not resolve symbol [SB.PC00.PGON.P BGEJ, AE NOT FOUND (20210730/psargs-330)
[ 1.868256] ACPI Error: Aborting method \_SB.PC00.PGON due to previous error (AE_NOT FOUND) (20210730/psparse-529)
[ 1.868261] ACPI Error: Aborting method SB.PC00.PEG1.PG01._ON due to previous error (AE_NOT_FOUND) (20210730/psparse-529)
Is there anything I should be concerned about? Like, my PC still boots, but are any of these errors problematic in any way?

Running LM 21.3 Cinnamon. Cinnamon 6.0.4, linux kernel 5.15.0-101-generic. Since it's complaining about BIOS it may also be helpful to note that my motherboard is the Gigabyte H510M H rev 1.5.

If it causes no problems, you are likely ok. Seems to be just a bug, see here:

Thanks for the help and the quick response! For reference, I went with the "GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash loglevel=3" solution, as it didn't seem to cause any issues to my system.
