I wasn't sure where to put this, or even how to report.
I just installed LMDE 6, and decided to give timeshift another try with user selected settings. After I clicked "create" I realized I had forgot to make those setting changes. So I clicked the cancel button, which immediately logged me out of the system and closed everything I had opened. Thankfully, I hadn't actually started working on the business yet.
To see if it was a fluke, I started timeshift again. Once it started flashing files across the screen, I clicked cancel again with the same outcome.
Possible bug in LMDE 6

Re: Possible bug in LMDE 6
I tried to reproduce this on two LMDE pc's but they both exited gracefully with a notify as they should. It could be that this only happens when you do not have any snapshots yet.
Does
yield any clues?
Does
Code: Select all
journalctl | grep -i timeshift
