Can't login after installing Gnome [SOLVED]

Hello Guys,
I'm fairly new to Linux Mint (always used Kubuntu, Budgie, etc). I've never used Gnome Desktop so I tried installing it. After installing the packet on cinnamon I rebooted my Computer to actually use Gnome. The Gnome-Login-Screen showed up and I tried to pick my Profile by clicking on my username. Now every time I try to login the actual password bar only shows up for a split second and everything returns to the Login Screen. The Shell still works. How can I switch back to Cinnamon using the shell?

Boot from the Mint USB stick and restore a Timeshift snapshot from within the live session:

Well I don't use Timeshift. I know the "no Back up no sympathy" thing but I installed mint like 2 weeks ago and didn't had the time to setup Timeshift.

The trouble is that installing Gnome on Mint, which is unsupported as a desktop environment on Mint, is very hard to undo.

Ok, didn't knew that. Thanks for the help I'm just gonna reinstall mint

Sometimes a backup and clean reinstall really is the easiest and fastest way to fix a borked OS if you don't have a backup. The potential number of conflicts you could have caused is ridiculously high.

If there's data ion that HD you don;'t want to lose it's possible to get at it by booting your Mint live USB.
