Solved: No PW login Changed?

Post by tosim »

I just started with XFCE yesterday, from MATE,when I did a clean install of Mint 21.3. I set it up with NO PW required. This AM it booted that way, however, later in the day, when I made a reboot, I had to insert my password. This happened later again. Short of doing a clean reinstall, how can I get back to the automatic logging in without a password.. Your help gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

Hey tosim,
the settings for automatic login are at "Settings -> Login Window -> Users". There you can set a user for automatic login (and also set delays or allow guest sessions if you like to). Please check there and see, if your settings are correct. If that doesn't work, please just tell us and please include your system information ("System Reports -> System Information") for us.
I hope this helps you.
