I'm not totally keen on making an OS look just like another OS, but it does look sweet, I must admit. Did you install GNOME over Linux Mint and install Docky or Plank? It's a nice combo. I prefer no bar up top and just Plank, if I were to use a traditional desktop environment. I did that back when I used XFCE for a month or so to have a break from being constantly barraged with terminals. Even in my usual i3WM setup, I have no bars.
