The answers given here did not tell the OP how to get rid of the "How to fix Updates Disabled by your system administrator.

That reply was only telling OP the reason Linux Mint did it, not how to get rid of it.

As far as the package from Linux Mint, it is not the same as the version from Mozilla.

The LM package version has been modified to not update from Mozilla but to use update manager only and include the tag “Updates Disabled by your system administrator”.

More curious is the fact that you already knew that as well, but pretended not to.
Then trying to muck up what I said by calling it “old misinformation and insinuations”. When in fact it was an answer to the OP question.

I also find it very curious that my little post generated so much ridicule and concern among two Moderators.

Yes, it is. Mozilla makes a Firefox version for enterprises. Linux Mint did not add the phrase "Updates Disabled by your system administrator” to Firefox. Firefox came from Mozilla with it already there. I suggest you do some research before making false statements.

Linux Mint has a partnership with Mozilla. The partnership is such that Linux Mint shall not modify Firefox and distributes the software provided by Mozilla as a regular package. All Linux Mint does is maintain the package in its repository (to replace the snap package provided by Ubuntu) and you get updates for Firefox from Mozilla packaged by Linux Mint as regular package updates through Update Manager.

Firefox is not capable of updating itself when it's installed as a regular package (because that would need Firefox to run as root). Hence all Linux Mint does is set a policy that Firefox should not offer to update itself because it can't; it doesn't have write permission on the system directories where the package manager installed it and it doesn't know it is installed as a regular package. The strange "managed by your organization" wording Mozilla uses is unfortunate but all this means is that Linux Mint has set a policy for Firefox to not offer to update itself, because it's installed as regular package and thus can't update itself.

Linux Mint can't change the "managed by your organization" wording. Only Mozilla can do that per the partnership agreement. That has been requested because the current wording doesn't really make clear why self-updating is disabled in Firefox.

The package source is available in the repository so you can verify how it is built and packaged. You can use viewtopic.php?f=42&t=178574 to download the package source and then build and package it yourself. If you don't trust Firefox as packaged by Linux Mint you can uninstall it and get it from some other source that you do trust.
