Ripping DVD's

I use makeMKV exclusively, many years now and it will rip any DVD or BD.

I've never had a problem out of it and it retains 100% quality

I spent a week or two ripping a metric crap-ton of DVDs — for personal use only — with a program I wrote yonks ago called RipMyDVD; it's old, possibly defunct, and certainly imperfect, but it worked really well for me at the time. If you're anti-terminal, then I'd suggest Handbrake, although I found it slow and awkward to use.
