I didn’t tell the installation to ask for the password at startup. How do I make it ask for the password at startup?

Re: How do I set the password on startup?
Find "Login Window" in Menu or System Settings / Adminstration --> Users. Set your preferences there.
Re: How do I set the password on startup?
I forgot to say I use Mate desktop !
Re: How do I set the password on startup?
OK I've found it : solution to disable autologin on Mate desktop
I've edited this file : /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
There was this : autologin-user=username
I've edited this line by adding a # in front of it
I've found this here : https://askubuntu.com/questions/1202230 ... -on-system
N.B. the first method didn't worked : the box was not checked
