sleeper12 wrote: Tue Mar 19, 2024 1:24 pm Secure boot was disabled before, now shows as enabled. Can you disable it in Bios?

Also, now shows a wifi soft block. Try:

Code: Select all

sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-acer-wmi.conf <<< "blacklist acer_wmi"
Reboot
I ran this command because you asked me to and it did not solve the issue, I was just worried, will this not cause any problem right?
I don't think so, but if it does, it can be undone.

Code: Select all

xed admin:///etc/default/crda
Make the line be REGDOMAIN=IN
Save, exit, and reboot
When I ran your command Xed opened and said "Could not find the file admin:///etc/default/crda"

While in the terminal it said:-

Code: Select all

** (xed:2723): WARNING **: 16:57:22.901: The specified location is not mounted
In Xed, there was an option to retry, when I clicked retry, again "Could not find the file admin:///etc/default/crda"
While a new line appeared in the terminal:-

Code: Select all

** (xed:2723): CRITICAL **: 16:58:12.008: xed_conversion_error_info_bar_get_encoding: assertion 'menu' failed

Actually it may be easiest to access wifi router settings with another device and change the channel setting so that it uses a channel from 1-11
