How to remove login window's password box transparency?

From what I found so far, that part is hardcoded. One need to be a programmer and build their custom version of https://github.com/linuxmint/slick-greeter to change that.

Not sure if this can do what you want it to, but this program was linked from the slick-greeter's github.

You're right! - I hadn't gone into it that far. I did want to try changing the transparency levels as well and thought I had found something useful to the OP and myself.

...I'll keep digging and if I find anything (after checking it out more fully), I'll repost.

Just to clarify, lightdm-settings is the Login Window app of the Cinnamon system settings. It can either be accessed from the menu > System Settings, or on the command line with sudo lightdm-settings.
