Bluetooth, ?driver?

Post by Curious Carl »

I have a bluetooth and wifi connection problem. I had it fixed before but managed to break it again. Newer Dell Tower, Bluetooth and wifi wouldn't work. Some smart guy on this forum showed me how to upgrade (I think) the kernal, and everything worked flawlessly (whew). I had some unrelated problems and used timeshift. Now, again, my bluetooth doesn't recognize the board in the computer (I think). I am using Mint 21.2 and the board in the computer is Bluetooth:
Device-1: Realtek Bluetooth Radio type: USB driver: btusb v: 0.8 bus-ID: 1-14:5
chip-ID: 0bda:887b class-ID: e001 serial: <filter> I think.
Can someone re-help this digital neanderthal out once more please.
Most cordially, curious carl
79 yr old digital neanderthal

Install the 6.5 kernel in Update Manager, View, Linux Kernels & reboot.

I did, it worked flawlessly, all is swell! In my efforts I did get close, but failed to click on View. There's hope for me still <grin>. Many thanks.
