I am running Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon with the 6.5.0-25-generic kernel.
All was working well until I installed Komorebi, which is a dektop manager that enables animated desktop wallpapers. It automatically starts at login, disabling the default desktop manager. I did not care for this software, so I uninstalled it using the Synaptic Package Manager. There did not appear to be any issues with the uninstall.
Now, my system boots up and I get no icons on my desktop. Right-click on the desktop also does not work. I do get the default Linux Mint wallpaper appearing. My panel also appears to work fine.
I have tried using Alt-F2 r to restart the desktop manager, but it does not change anything.
Can someone explain what happened, and more importantly, how can I fix this?
