freezing when connected to Internet

Post by Iceman101 »

Hello.

My user install works fine. I had to go to next volume on Live usb and to a install from that version of live LMD 6 to get into boot correctly.
The PC turns on and runs fine how ever once I connect to the Internet the whole machine freezes and becomes unresponsive. Once I disconnect from the intthe PC works again.Fire wall is turned on. Rejecting incoming traffic.
8 Ram AMD 64Bit clocked at 1600 HP manufacture. Teather Internet via USB for Internet

I had the same problem with Mint Xfce 21.3 user install. I thought D based would be more effective but same problem.

Also when I first ran Live usb the printer worked perfectly no issues and printed. Now it won't connect and I have to go digging through the settings?

Any advice welcomed.

Thank you in advance!

Details are below. If Live boot runs perfectly using loading from the RAM memory why would the user install have freezing issues if running form a hard drive using less memory/Ram ?
Also I have ran windows 10 from same machine with no issues but Mint is nothing but problems
I finished up with Windows because of security issues (malware, spyware and etc) I was advised mint was more secure/stable but it does not seem to be that way.
It always seems to be when connected to online I have issues. Is it possible that a developer has installed a backdoor as fire wall does not seem to be working if hackers are targeting me.Note also it seems to have remote access as random programs open with self typing and mouse movement.
Also I seem to have tunneling as I am redirected to fake websites and run IP checks showing false systems, location and etc for my exit point. Please note I am not using any VPN or like wise

To my knowledge running via usb live mode do not fully utilize your hardware, but once installation is done there might be issues with the compatibility of your device's hardware with the drivers from the kernel

Have you verified the ISO prior to installation? does your other device(s) connected to your router behaves like this too? Debian and Linux Mint will not try installing any backdoor. However it is possible a user might accidentally install a malware by following random internet blogs or installing application(s) blindly especially if the said application(s) do not come from Software Manager or Synaptic Package Manager or Flathub.
