PAVU Only showing "Dummy output"

PAVU Only showing "Dummy output"

Im running linux mint on my MacBookAir6,2 1.0, but Pulse Audio Volume Control is not picking up the laptops speaker even when i plug peripherals in there is no option but the dummy output.

Hey,
I actually have the same problem on my Chromebook... Seems to be a driver issue of weird devices. I would also love to hear any help...
P.S.: If you don't have any other way to listen to audio on your MacBook now, I use an app called AudioRelay to stream my laptop audio via WiFi to my phone.

Please go to System Report - System Information, click the Copy button and then paste the data here so we can navigate your configuration.

Chromebooks are not anything like Apple hardware so your problem does not have the same source. Please see Chromebooks in the Tips for Troubleshooting Sound Issues Rev. 1 and then make a new topic with your complete system information if that does not help.
