[SOLVED] First time user, panels misbehaving (Bug reported)

Post by Klaustrix »

Hi there, I just started using LM21.3 cinnamon 6.0.4 64x today but when I try to customise panels they move all over the place and I'm unsure why.

I have 3 monitors and 1 HDTV in a 2x2 configuration
All are set to 1920x1080, 60hz, landscape, 100% scale, plugged into my RTX 2080 Ti
Image

When I try to create panels and move them they appear in the wrong place and move when they shouldn't. Here's a step by step example:

Any help would be appreciated. Happy to add any extra info on request.
Kind regards,
Klaus

Welcome to the forum, Klaus.

I do not have multiple monitors which means I cannot check what you are noticing, but I did check bug reports and found this one Panel issue if multiple screens are used #12017 which sounds like it might be the same issue. If it does sound the same, perhaps reporting your experience will give this bug more visibility.

Thank you for taking the time to respond and investigate. This does sound very similar, I'm happy to contribute my findings so I'll comment on the github page. Hopefully it will help speed a solution along!

Kind regards,
Klaus
