Browsing on the edge - new Firefox Nightly repository

Post by xenopeek »

Mozilla just announced a new Firefox Nightly build APT repository, for Linux Mint and other Debian/Ubuntu based distributions, to easily install Firefox Nightly if you're interested in that:
https://blog.nightly.mozilla.org/2023/1 ... ributions/

You can install and run it side-by-side with the regular Firefox version. You can run both at the same time; they have a different name and icon so there's no confusing them. It can be useful to check if a bug or annoyance you're affected by may already be fixed in a future version. Or just to take a look at the experimental features being worked on.

Sorry for the off-topic
but wasn't the official Ubuntu's excuse for replacing firefox apt package with snap that Mozilla asked them to do so coz it was such a bother for Mozilla to maintain an apt repo? Now Mozilla themselves offer us a nightly one...
