Unable to add orage or clipman to xfce panel.

Post by MikeB23930 »

When I try to add clipman to the xfce4 panel I get the following error message:

"Plugin "Clipman" unexpectedly left the panel, do you want to restart it?"

A similar thing happens when I try to add Orage to the panel.

I regularly use both clipman and Orage in Xubuntu. Can some one please help me install these two panel plugi-ins?

I'm running a freshly installed copy LinuxMint 13 XFCE amd64.

Thanks,

Mike

I don't how to fix your problem but I have to point out Mint 10 is no longer supported; You will no longer be able install programs or receive security updates. Since you just installed it I recommend removing Mint 10 and downloading and installing Mint 13 XFCE (supported until 2017) instead:

The Mint 10 was a typo which I corrected as soon as I realized it, although obviously not soon enough. I'm acually running Mint 13, as you suggested.

I believe your problem has something to with XFCE 4.8 Plugins. You may need to upgrade to XFCE 4.10

http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... 1706&f=110

Code: Select all

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xubuntu-dev/xfce-4.10

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
