Fixing a broken USB Drive

Post by marmistrz »

I have an old Kingston 8 GB pen drive. After inserting it, gnome-disks believes it is 2.2 TB large. GParted spews with I/O errors while scanning for partitions. Is there any way to save the usb drive?

If there is data you need try some of the flash data recovery apps. Otherwise just toss it.

these things were designed for the M$ O/S - so you must use that to fix it. ..

- if that don't help - then it's time for a new one.
