No "Linux Sucks" presentation at Linux Fest this year

Post by UltramaticOrange »

For those of you not familiar with the presentation, Bryan Lunduke does a tongue-in-cheek "Linux Sucks" presentation at Linux Fest every year. He starts it by going through all the things that he sees as problems or breaks within Linux and the underpinning open-source philosophy. He then goes on to illustrate all the things that are great about Linux which illustrates that the things that can drive us crazy in Linux are are often part of what makes Linux so great. If you can spare 40min, go onto youtube and search "linux sucks" and watch the 2014 presentation.

This year, there's not going to be a "Linux Sucks" presentation. Instead, there'll be, "Windows is Awesome" and, "2014 was the Year of the Linux Desktop. You missed it." presentations. He still plans to do another "Linux Sucks," but wants to switch it to another venue.
