OK, finally finished this! I have put together a video demo of Mint Linux in action. No talk, only action. I got sick of talking heads on youtube and no visual demos.
Located here:

This took an annoyingly long time to piece together mind. So long that I started with Mint 13, went to Mint 16 during it's creation and then Mint 17 took over after I compiled the video. So it's a little out of date but not so anyone would notice.
This is intended to be an introduction for those considering (Mint) Linux. I demo Mint KDE edition. It's the only DE I use and, personally, I reckon the best for those jumping from Windows. I know that can be argued but I'll let the demo speak for KDE"s ease of use. I don't even deal with the keyboard shortcuts.
The demo covers – briefly (I wanted breadth and not depth):
Starting Linux apps
Running Windows Apps (I demo Word 2010)
Internet – because we all know computers = the internet
Graphics – because all Mac owners know no computer is worth anything without Photoshop…
Games – though briefly as my netbooks won't handle games really
Legacy DOS apps
Installing software – because we all know you can only install software in Linux by compiling from source...
Video editing – just to show free software is cool software!
Take a look and pass onto those considering Linux or just doubting Windows/Mac.
And onto those who INSIST Linux means a DIY OS!
And I do want to see 'Enterprise' series 5. The right series at just the wrong time… when everyone was Trekked out after TNG, DS9 and VOY back to back.
(Mint) Linux demo finally uploaded to Youtube!

Thanks, Jedinovice. I just watched the video, and it's very nice. I posted it on my Facebook page.
