Hello, HDDC.

I tend to assume that the answer to your question
How best to run an x64 Solaris 10 application on LMDE x64?
may be: Not at all, you can't.
Sun Solaris and Linux Mint Debian Edition are 2 different operating systems, much more different than Ubuntu and LMDE e.g.
I am not aware of a Sun Solaris emulator for LMDE.
Maybe setting up a virtual machine on LMDE which can run Sun Solaris may be an option, provided such a VM is available for LMDE.
Simply running Sun Solaris applications on LMDE does not sound like something which can be done.

Cheers,
Karl

P.S.:
Thread moved to "Chat about Linux", because neither Solaris, nor LMDE are the Linux Mint Main Edition.
