Hello
First of all, no I'm not planning to make my own.
But if I wanted to do it, what programming languages do I have to know?
Do I still need ASM for all the boot-stuff if I use the Linux kernel?
Can I just use C++ for the package around the kernel and use the SFML library for the graphics (Menu, taskbar, icons,...)?
How are distributions actually compiled? If you compile them the code always run in the terminal?
Is there an online website where I can take a look at the Linux Mint source code?
...?
Was just wondering.
Thanks for reading,
Niely

Read this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_distribution and follow all the blue links of terms you also don't fully grasp yet.
Re: If I wanted to make my own Distribution
It's not so much the programming languages as it is how you package what you've programmed.
