languages/ certs to get?

Post by detroitwillfall »

im currently enrolled in an IT school for getting my A+ certification. was wondering which certifications/languages I should pick up and learn alone the way?

being completely new to Linux outside of using Ubuntu a few times im trying to start with the LM cinnamon flavor.

I have pythons ultimate beginners guide to programming/coding. along with the command line program/pdf that comes with it. but ive read on here java and c++?

mainly I just want to understand Linux, as well as cross-platform and learn the languages for both os if I can.

hope to hear from you soon.

There is many language options to choose from but here are some of the popular ones. PHP, Ruby, JavaScript (with Node.js), and Python are some of the more popular languages used for web development. Other languages include C, C++, and Java. If you are interested in using the Microsoft languages like C# on Linux, you can look into the Mono project (http://www.mono-project.com/Main_Page)
Some newish languages you might want to keep an eye on are Google's Go programming language(http://golang.org/) and Mozilla's Rust programming language (http://www.rust-lang.org/)
