Xfdashboard -- new windows & workspaces overview for Xfce
This looks like it is worth a look: http://www.webupd8.org/2014/07/xfdashbo ... buntu.html. A new windows & workspaces overview for Xfce, though it would work on other DEs also. Somewhat similar to Gnome Shell activities overview mode.

Looks really similar to Gnome Shell. Not really sure it's a smart move...

I finally caught you napping 'xenopeek'....

Its installed in Mint17 XFCE and I must say pretty impressive. I like it (but I am one of those who don't hate gnome-shell).
It has all the pluses of the gnome-shell 'overview' (scale open windows, search, menu, show work-spaces, favorites, et) but none of negatives (ie installing gnome and its tons of dependencies itself). Its a quite small stand alone pkg. ( 1 pkg, it adds NO dependencies, 886 kB)I launch it from hot key (until I can get 'Brightside' to work with 'hot-corners)..

Sounds good. I'm not much of a Xfce user myself, but It looked like an interesting project. Not only for Xfce, it should also work on others.
