Re: What Linux Distros do you currently use?
I'm still rocking my Mint 13 install. Everything has worked so good for so long that I just see no reason to change.

Re: What Linux Distros do you currently use?
recently I bought a new laptop with Ubuntu 14.04 as the default OS. This is the first time I try Ubuntu and Unity desktop. All I can say for the moment is that Unity is not that bad as I thought. Most of us have prejudices against it, but in fact is fairly easy to use and aesthetically pleasant (however, it is indeed resources hungry). Obviously, I had to tweak it to be more customizable and advanced-user friendly, for example I installed Nemo to replace Nautilus. As about the commercial side of Ubuntu noticeable in the Software Center, I just ignore it (I'm not interested).
Active Distros in my computers: LM21.1 (Mate,Xfce); MXLinux (Xfce)

I finally broke my Manjaro install (in a VB). I eventually came to an impossible upgrade situation. I hope it will have a better end for your!Alley Cat wrote: Manjaro with Xfce

Re: What Linux Distros do you currently use?
I just started using Ubuntu MATE as well as Linux Mint 17.2
Re: What Linux Distros do you currently use?
Recently I made the switch from Debian 8 to Linux Mint Debian Edition 2, both MATE desktops.
Why? I'm learning Spanish and I could not find a way to easily switch between English and Spanish in Debian*, with Mint it's a piece of cake
* maybe I overlooked something.

LMDE 2 Cinnamon x64 Compaq/HP desktop
Mint 17.2 x64 Cinnamon HP desktop
Ubuntu 14.04 Dell Inspiron 531 Desktop
I used Ubuntu on the Dell when I was working on it, replaced a lot of hardware. Originally I had problems with Cinnamon and the original NVidea graphics card. I have since replaced the graphics card with an ATI card along with the motherboard, power supply, processor and RAM. The Dell ran fine when I got it finished and I just left the OS alone since everything was finally working right. I might switch the Dell over to Mint in the future but for now it's fine the way it is.
