Just curious....I was wondering if anyone here in the forum or in Linux Mint development team has had any level of pen-testing/vulnerability scanning performed on Mint.
At work, I will be beginning over the course of the next few months run Nexpose to test systems and servers in the workplace, and I plan to deploy the open source version at my house in a VM to conduct tests.

Re: Vulnerability testing of Linux Mint
Well, I got my Nexpose scanner up and running in an VM instance of Xubuntu.
I did a vulnerabilty scan on Linux Mint 16 with the firewall enabled. It did find a few vulnerabilities coinciding with Samba.
I'm doing a scan now with the firewall off, to see what the results are.
