Re: MY FAVORITE LINUX LINKS
Is it OK to post my own site? If no I can understand if a moderator removes it but I'll try:
Linux Switch Project [I've removed site and moved it to http://cgi.bytebin.net/ in the Linux section.]
I'm trying to fill it out with articles on how to do stuff with Linux. I have a lot of notes on what I want to add. Just have to find time to add it.
Also some other favorites, besides the Linux Mint site is:
ubuntuforums.org/forum.php
linuxquestions.org
http://www.youtube.com/user/metalx1000
http://www.youtube.com/user/tutor4u
http://kde-look.org/
Metalx1000 has some really cool linux programming and other tutorials, including using LMMS, Ardour, etc. Tutor4u has a lot of cool Inkscape, Gimp and Blender tutorials.
Those are some of my favorites.

Update. I've taken down the Linux Switch Project. The content from there has been moved to http://cgi.bytebin.net in the Linux section.

My primary to-go place when searching for info on Linux features, problems, etc. Never liked the system, but wiki is probably the best out there.

Re: MY FAVORITE LINUX LINKS
It's not Mint but what about the site askubuntu.com
A site with a lot of answers to questions we all have/had.
Thanks for the long list, will use it a lot I think.

Re: My Favourite Linux Links
Newbie Linux users could benefit from this thread. (Some links are dead, though).
Wish the material was around when I started using Linux for a long period. Though I did learn a lot on my own and forgot most of it cause I went back to Windows because of gaming purposes at the time.
I'll likely be returning to Linux again this year on my PC, cause quite frankly I've had enough of Windows. I mean I like Windows, but Linux is significantly less of a thorn in my butt.
