Is there a way to reset all desktop settings to original settings?

I messed up my desktop. Lost title menus and multiple desktops vanished.
I was tinkering with Compiz and clicked the wrong options somewhere and don't know how to undo it.
it is easy enough to re-install but thought i would ask for help.

Google to the rescue - found this command --> rm -r ~/.config/xfce4
