K3B on XFCE

Installed K3B on XFCE to enable disc copy which is missing in Xfburn.

Burning an iso image to dvd fails on K3B but works with xfburn using the same blank media.
Haven't tried a disc copy yet with K3B.

Has anyone had luck with K3B on XFCE and if so - what am I missing in terms of dependencies?

Let's see . . K3B on Xfce when your sig tells us that you're running Cinnamon . . In Synaptic Pkg Mgr, have you right-clicked on K3B to see if you have all the *recommended and *suggested additional files installed ?

All K3B dependencies were installed. K3B burns an iso image and says it is complete. Plugging the disk back in to the tray it shows empty in file manager.

So i gave up on K3B and installed Brasero - it works fine. And Brasero can copy a DVD while xfburn cannot.

Thanks for the suggestion to check dependencies. Also i changed my signature to XFCE - forgot that when I installed it.

Hello,
I use K3B on XFCE (among other KDE apps) without problems. For instance to burn LM isos on DVDs...
I've installed KDE packages :
kdelibs-bin
kdelibs5-data
kdelibs5-plugins
and also oxygen-icon-theme

You may want to give simpleburn a try. It will copy discs and is much lighter than k3b.
It's in the repositories.

Disc copy is available with Brasero, which does not pull in all the KDE crud.
