Hello All,
On my fresh 17.3/XFCE/64-bit install everything works just fine, yet the volume change desktop "alert" keeps popping up randomly. Any suggestions on how to debug this? Should I submit a bug report?
Edit: there is also a skipping or chirping going on, concurrent with each appearance of the volume change alert. The hardware is fine, this did not occur in Windows or KDE. Any suggestions? Something, somewhere is tripping up periodically.
Thanks,
John

Re: volume change desktop "alert" appearing randomly
Moving from the motherboard's onboard audio to HDMI via my nvidia card clears everything up. FYI. Also, it's a MASSIVE sound improvement...
Thanks,
John
