Hi.
I'm planning on upgrading to a 27 inch x1440 monitor (from my current 24 inch x1200).
Is there someone who uses both Xfce and this resolution? I'd like to know:
1 How much higher do you set the DPI so that everything looks approximately the same size as on a x1200?
2 Is the scaling smooth? Does everything (fonts, icons, interfaces...) render properly?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Xfce and DPI Scaling
Using https://www.sven.de/dpi/ we find:
- 24" at 1920x1200 is 94.34 PPI
- 27" at 2560x1440 is 108.79 PPI
A difference of 15.3%.
If you set the DPI to 109 in Settings > Appearance > Fonts it scales all the text correctly. It doesn't scale icons and interfaces, except for where interface size is dependent on the font size. Perhaps with just 15% difference that is easy enough to get used to and not too hard on the eyes as all text is properly scaled.
There is another tip here for changing the icon size: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/HiDPI#Xfce

@xenopeek thanks
Thank you for the links, they're helpful (good to see Cinnamon scales fine).
That really is too bad, I'll try it anyway when I have the monitor.It doesn't scale icons and interfaces, except for where interface size is dependent on the font size.
