Xfce session start command line
I have installed a X2go server on my Linux Mint Xfce notebook. X2go officially doesn't support Xfce. So I have to specify a command line which starts the Xfce session on the X2go server. I've already tried /usr/bin/xfce4-session. But this command seems to starts only some kind of default Xfce session. It for example doesn't start the nice Linux Mint panel which includes a Whisker Menu. So could someone tell me the correct command line, please.

Re: Xfce session start command line
startx
startxfce4
The first one works on some distros, the second is just a guess.

Re: Xfce session start command line
from "man startxfce4" -
Not sure how those xinitrc files interact with your ~/.xinitrc file.
Code: Select all
startxfce4 - initialize an Xfce session
SYNOPSIS startxfce4
DESCRIPTION
startxfce4 is a script responsible for starting an Xfce session. It
runs xinit passing the file specified in the FILES subsection as an
argument.
You may want to modify the default xinitrc file. In order to do that,
copy /etc/xdg/xfce4/xinitrc to ~/.config/xfce4/xinitrc and modify that
file.
FILES
~/.config/xfce4/xinitrc
User configuration file
/etc/xdg/xfce4/xinitrc
System wide configuration file
