XFCE -display needs to be configured after wake from suspend

Post by ivanarnold »

Hi all. I have attempted to search the forum, and done some basic googling to no avail.

My issue is this. I have a Dell d430 netbook running mint XFCE 17. Every time the laptop wakes from suspend I am greeted with the display configuration window. See the attached image.

This is really just a minor annoyance, but I am personally stumped. I have never seen this behavior before from Mint or Ubuntu (or any other of the many Linux flavors I have tested). I can find nothing in the gui settings manager that seems to control this, and don't know where to look in the configuration files. My best guess is that the d430 is not saving the display, and therefore doesn't recognize that it is already configured upon wake. I don't know how to fix this though.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
