I do just want to add, be careful with the --force-overwrite option. Obviously in this case it was safe because it's just an identifying text file that doesn't seem to have an impact on the operation of the system, but you could potentially overwrite an important file if you run aptitude/apt-get with that option without understanding what the transaction will be overwriting.
