I tried to purge a package I was having trouble with, in this case bsnes, then all of a sudden my mint wants to load into the default xfce session. This:

I want to configure my system to run want it used to, this:

But I can't for the life of me find out how to do that. I've reinstalled xfce4 and I thought that might've done it... but no. Still wants to run in the default session.
Any help is appreciated!

Re: Wrong Windowing manager loading!
On the login screen, when you go to enter your password (you may need to logout first, if you don't go to the login screen during boot) there will be an icon in the corner of the box. Or maybe a "session" option. There are several login screens, so I can't tell you exactly without seeing your login screen. But there will be something there, that will prompt to choose which desktop you want to use.
Select whichever one you want. It will then prompt you again if you want to make that desktop your default.
