Window decorations missing

Post by mleisher »

Mint 17.2, 32-bit, KDE. No decorations appear on windows after I log in. It's like the window manager isn't being started. Any directions on settings? I've looked through everything I can find and nothing seems to work.

Can you open System Settings?
If so, click (double-click) on Workspace Appearance
On the left you find 4 items: Window Decoration, Cursor Theme, Desktop Theme, Splash Screen.
Choose Window Decoration and see on the right hand side which one is selected. That one has a light-blue background.
Try another one, or if none is selected choose one, click apply and see what happens.
