I recently installed Linux Mint KDE 17, and I have a desktop computer with 2 monitors.
I have set up my Folder View desktop, choosing my custom wallpaper folders and setting filters (different for each monitor)
However, when I open the Desktop Settings window, my previous settings seem to have disappeared. And when I then click "OK" to close the Desktop Settings window, my previous settings are lost. The file icons that I had rearranged on the desktop returned to their default organization, and the filters I had set up no longer work.
I didn't have this problem with Linux Mint KDE 15.
I have tried deleting the plasma-desktop-appletrc file and logging out and back in, but the problem remains.

Re: Desktop settings disappear
I have the same here. When I rearrange my icons my background slide-show is gone (folders inwhich the pictures are located are no longer in the list of folders). I can get it back manually, but with the next change in icons I have to do it again.
Maybe time to report a bug?

Re: Desktop settings disappear
Agreed!
Would you say this is a KDE bug, or a Linux Mint bug?
