Acer aspire one wifi failure

Post by flanna »

My Acer aspire-one has suddenly stopped seeing the wifi. It has a switch for wireless connections and I have put it to the "on" position. Still no Wifi.

I have run mintWifi.py and here is the result:

This indicates your toggle switch is blocking the adapter, please make sure you have it in the correct position. Have you made any changes in the BIOS settings in regard to this switch perhaps? If all else fails try entering in a terminal

Code: Select all

sudo rfkill unblock all

Thanks. I was thinking that the toggle switch isn't working.
"sudo rfkill unblock all" does nothing.

Did it for me. I got stuck in a WiFi off loop between the hard slide switch and the soft off being stuck off. It would flick on then off straight away. Cheers remoulder.
