Wireless 802.1x EAP Authentication problem

Post by alphajatin »

Hello everyone,

I use a Linux Mint 17.2 Cinnamon 64-bit machine, I am facing an issue while connecting my system with the university's WiFi after upgrading from 17.1 Xfce. I had same problem in 17.1 Cinnamon that is why I switched to Xfce and Xfce connects to the Uni WiFi without any problem. I tried installing WICD network manager to no avail, Windows 7, Mac, even Android connects to the WiFi without any problem its just Cinnamon that is giving troubles. Is there any workaround instead of formatting and installing 17.2 Xfce?

My Uni Wifi's protected by 802.1x EAP authentication and takes my username and password as input.
