WLAN worked fine for days; Now no Internet

Post by spliffie »

Hi @all,

i fixed my wireless connection a few days ago by installing the correct driver.
It worked without any problems until yesterday.
Since i booted my system today, i can't get any internet by using wlan. I can enter my Fritz!Box by using wlan. I have to use LAN for internet at the moment.
I can't remember doing anything wrong yesterday, because it worked until shuting down.
I already restarted my system and re-installed the correct driver, but its still not working.

I got it back working the following way

I went to the Network Manager.
*Click* Wi-Fi
*Click* Preferences of my known Access Point (for example "My Fritz!Box"). (The little button with the tools - Linux Mint 17.2 Cinnamon 64-bit)
*Click* "Zurückstellen" (i'm pretty sure its called "reset" in the english version)
*Click* "Vergessen" (probably "forget")

I accessed my Network again by typing in the WPA key and everything was fine again.
I dont know what caused that problem and what was it at all, but this worked for me.
