No Wifi

Post by Logan190 »

I am new to Linux and have set up the Rafaela version for x64 Cinnamon on a desktop equipped with a PCE-N53 Asus Wifi card. The issue is that I cannot get it to work.

I am not even sure that the card is well detected.

I also tried to connect to the internet using the ethernet connection from my Motherboard (G1 Assassin) but nothing there happen.

By the way, I didn't do anything else than installing the OS directly. So I may have missed one or 2 operation

Thanks for your help

Re: No Wifi

Finally, I got a solution.

I used a Wifi dongle recognized by the OS, downloaded the update. This allowed me to properly install build essential, then with the patch version of Arch linux and the driver from Asus, I manage to install the card. I just remove the donggle and got my WIFI working properly.

Thanks anyway and I hope that may help others with the PCE-N53 issue
