WiFi loses internet when changing networks

So, when my laptop switches networks, I completely lose internet until I reboot. No matter what. Even if I just disconnect and reconnect to the same network. As soon as I reboot, I have internet again.

The device is an Asus Q301LA-BHI5T02.

I'm not sure what other info will help. I have tried disabling the hardware WPA encryption. Still same issue.

Don't know if this helps :
"'WPA Pre-authentication' support in WPA2 allows a client to pre-authenticate with the NB9W toward which it is moving, while maintaining a connection to the access point it's moving away from. This new capability allows the roaming to occur in less than 1/10th of a second while a traditional roam without PMK caching and pre-authentication would take more than one second. Time-sensitive applications like Citrix, video, or VoIP will all break without fast roaming."

you could try to activate pre-authentication in your routers settings.

I don't think it has anything to do with WPA because it'll happen on open networks too.

- launch a terminal window and make it full screen, to avoid chopped lines;
