I am not very technical but see other posts and see that I should start by listing

What does this command give:

Code: Select all

iwconfig
Off topic: I advise to launch Driver Manager and install the fglrx driver for your video card. Then reboot.
Reason: probably much better video performance.

Wifi is very hit and miss, so moving the antenna (or computer if it is a laptop) might help, or buying a bigger antenna. I have had good results with this USB dongle: http://www.alfa.com.tw/products_show.php?pc=34&ps=21

That seems to have fixed it and it is a bit faster.
