WIFI

Post by Aiden »

Ok everything I'm VERY new to Linux and was turned onto it by a friend.

I installed Mint 64bit Cinnamon to my old Dell Inspiron. Everything is working good except I have no options for wifi. Is there certain drivers that need installed or something?

Please generate an overview of your system like this:
- launch a terminal window and make it fullscreen, to avoid chopped lines;
- copy/paste this command into the terminal:

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxz
if you type: the letter F is a capital letter

Press Enter.

Copy/paste the output in your next message.

The wifi is wireless and what's a PCI(e)?

It doesn't even give me a wifi option under "network connections"

PCI(e) would be an internal wifi card

Wireless is indeed turned on in bios but there's no sign of wifi.
