I have windows 7 and linux mint 17.1 on my laptop. when i try to turn wifi on, it doesnt...but when i restart and open windows 7 and try to connect from there..and then restart and go back to mint it starts working....Can anyone tell me why that happens?

Please generate an overview of your system like this:
- launch a terminal window and make it full screen, to avoid chopped lines;
- copy/paste this command into the terminal:
(if you type: the letter F is a capital letter)
