Mint 17.1 wifi stops working after a while, bad password

Post by herohans »

Hi All,

My first ever mint or linux post.

I installed Linux Mint 17.1 on a Gateway GT 5676 desktop with a Netgear (Broadcom) WN311B PCI WiFi card.

I get about 20 - 30 minutes of wifi connection and then the connection stops working. Sometimes it reconnects and other times I get a bad password error in Wicd Network Manager. The default Network Manager just sits there and won't time out.

The ony way to fix it is to reboot the desktop.

Where do I start to get this fixed?

HeroHans
