Problem:
If my WIFI cuts out for a few seconds, as happens a few times daily, my laptop thinks I am no longer connected to the internet, and persists to think so after I have a strong WIFI signal. In order to re-establish connection to the internet, I have had to reboot, which is rather onerous, or at least an unwelcome interruption.
Query:
Is there some command I can execute that will restore connection to the internet without a reboot?
No internet connection, but WIFI connected

Re: No internet connection, but WIFI connected
could you go to this page http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php? ... st12350385
and run the wireless script found there, Then post the results here.
it will give a complete rundown on what your wireless card and connection are doing.
of course you need to run it when it disconnects.
good luck
