Wireless Network Drivers

Post by anilmint »

Hi Gentleman,

When I tried to install wireless network

Install NDIS driver failed.
The compiling environment is not all ready.
Please check gcc, make and kernel buid(/lib/modules/3.13.0-37-generic/build) to be all installed?
Now please enter any key to finish other installations.

Can you kindly suggest any solution for the same.

with regards
ANil kumar

Hi anilmint and Welcome to Mint,

What wireless card are you attempting to install the driver for? Most drivers are available in the driver manager tool and you do not need to use
NDIS to install them. In Linux you do not need to install the windows drivers to get your wireless running in most cases.

But you will need a temporary Ethernet connection.

Let us know what card and we will try to help you get it going.
