Network disabled after updates on LinuxMint 17 Samsung N140

Post by John Sheppard »

I recently installed a lot of package updates.
Now my network is disabled and clicking on enable networking has no effect.
I'm a linux newbie and completely lost.
Is it possible, for instance, to uninstall updates?

Samsung N140 netbook running LinuxMint 17

We could start by identifying your network devices, open a terminal window and enter

Code: Select all

lspci -nnk | grep -iA2 net
and check if it is blocked with

Code: Select all

rfkill list all
Do you have a connection to the internet from the computer?
