I am new to Linux and have installed the 64 bit version with dual-boot on Windows 8.1. I enter my Wi-Fi password and it says that I am connected but I still don't have internet access after trying to enter an address in Firefox. In Windows 8.1 my internet seems to be working fine. Could someone please tell me what to enter in the terminal so that I can post that data here?

Follow instructions from http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=370108 to run the wireless script and post the results as it might show some clues as why this is happening

Using wired internet, I made sure the system was updated but still the wireless does not work. These are the results from the script:

Can you change the router encryption to WPA2-AES only, as now it is using WPA-TKIP and it could be part of the problem

Open firefix or whatever browser you use and use http://192.168.0.1 Likely have to enter username and password and look through the page for wireless encryption or security
